FAQ

1. How is the training organised/tailored?

We always liaise closely with you regarding your exact needs and those of the individual and/or team requiring training. We look not only at the aims and objectives of the training but also take into account the various roles the attendees undertake within your company.

It may be that none of the ‘off the shelf’ management training packages on the market comprehensively address your needs and those of your organisation.

Depending on your market, we will discuss: -

  • the development track of individuals or teams
  • the specialist skills required by certain job functions
  • the skill gaps of teams or individuals
  • the necessity to keep teams and/or individuals motivated
  • the very real risk of ‘burn out’ in relation to certain teams/individuals
  • upcoming events such as conferences or product launches requiring presentations

At Semantics, we take a holistic approach to all our training. Every course is tailored to fit exactly the needs of the individual client or team, so not only is each course unique to your organisation, but it can be subsequently delivered to others within your company, closely mirroring your unique company ethos and strategy.

2. How many people can attend a training course?

This very much depends on the type of training and the roles of the attendees. For example, for training with more general themes such as Time Management and Stress Management, these courses are s suitable for up to 15 attendees for each workshop.

For more specific training such as Public Speaking, we would recommend no more than 6 attendees. This is because the course culminates in each attendee, applying the techniques they have learned during the workshop, delivering a speech and receiving feedback from the group, so there are time constraints.

For Leadership courses, it is important that each attendee is at the same hierarchical level, leading similar sized teams and therefore it is recommended that there are no more than 2-3 attendees.

3. Where does the training take place?

All group training takes place at your nominated site. Individual courses can be hosted at our language school in Montgomery, Brussels.

4. How much does a course cost?

As none of our training is ‘off the shelf’ there are a number of factors that influence the final cost offered. The type of training being undertaken is one  factor for example. If a course is a private tailor made training, such as Public Speaking, then the unit cost for one participant will be proportionally higher than group training of up to 15 participants.

The duration of a course is a further factor. We can offer short ‘overview’ style workshops or 1 or even 3 days for more in depth courses.

After a needs analysis, we will prepare a proposal that is in line with your remit composed of all the elements necessary to achieve your goals.

We will, of course, offer an attractive discount for 3 or more courses.

5. How long does a typical training last?

The minimum duration for training, whether private or group, is a 3 hour workshop.

However, depending on your needs the training can be: -

  • 2 x workshops over consecutive days (6 hours in total)
  • 1 - 3 full days

Follow up and refresher workshops are offered, typically within 3 months of the original training.

At present Public Speaking is available only in English.
